She is Taiwan’s famous professional Pipa Soloist/improviser, Luo Chao-yun, is a virtuoso performer on the Chinese traditional string instrument----“PIPA”. She received the master's degree in Pipa performance at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. Luo Chao-yun has performed recitals, concertos with orchestra, multimedia-performances, improvisation performances, embassy concerts, and etc. in Beijing (many times), Malaysia(2 times), Singapore, Portugal, Pakistan, Nepal, Costa Rica (2 times), Italy, USA (3 times), UK (3 times), the Netherlands (2 times), Brazil, Bulgaria, Japan, North Cyprus, Indonesia, and etc. She also has master class, and lectures in these countries, too.

Lirio Salvador is a multi-media experimental artist and is probably the most influential and astonishing homemade circuit-benders and instrument builders in the country. He established the E.X.I.S.T. sound art collective back in 2002. He creates his assemblage of musical instruments using day to day materials that are found in his present environment, including bicycle gears, drain cleaning springs and stainless steel tubes.

Gerarld ‘Dok’ Natividad is a Hegalong player (a two-stringed native musical instrument from Mindanao), founder of Lakbay Lahi, and work as a project officer for environmental advocacy and disaster management in Lasallian Community Development Center of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas. Currently, he’s working on field and nature recordings, especially in the field of Acoustic-Ecology.

Erick Calilan is a Cavite-based sound artist, a multi-instrumentalist and an interdisciplinary artist working with D.I.Y. (Do-It-Yourself) technology related to sounds. Often performs under the name Ugong, a sound art outfit utilizing home-made circuit-bent sound devices created from toy keyboards, walkie-talkie and other low voltage electronic devices, he has collaborated with numbers of sound artists, media-art practitioner, musicians and performance artists in the Philippines.

Blend:er (a.k.a. Cris Garcimo) is an electronic music composer/producer, synth player, soundscape artist and noise enthusiast based in Cavite, Philippines. His music has been described as cinematic, imaginative, touching and stimulating. He will be performing together with Ros Veluz.

Lakbay Lahi (Racial Journey) is built on the philosophy that deep satisfaction from sound is something innate...inborn. For the span of 9 months that every human has spent inside the womb of their mother, they have, consciously or unconsciously, been listening to the music of LIFE - wiggling themselves inside the small confines of the placenta as the hearts of their loving mothers continuously beat. Creating a never ending solo concerto of a 'percussionist', stopping the performance would mean death to the 'musician' and/or the 'listener' as well.

The event starts at 7pm at Souk Kafe, located at Terraza Dasma, Robinson's Place Dasmariñas, Dasmariñas, Cavite. This event is FREE but donations will be highly appreciated. House music by Jon Romero during after-party.
